Major Gifts Initiative
The
United Way of Jamaica was selected as one of the seven
pilots by United Way International for a Major Gifts Programme
to target individuals of high net worth in participating
countries. The goal for the United Way of Jamaica in 2007/2008
is to get five individual donors giving US$10,000 each.
This initiative was significantly boosted with the American
Friends of Jamaica's decision to match the first five contributions
of US$10,000 each. Proceeds from 2007/2008 will support
Early Childhood Institutions.
